The data collected by the GOCE ESA satellite during the last two years has enabled ESA scientist to modelize a new terrestrial geoid model, with a very high resolution.
This model can be used as a reference surface to measure the polar ice sheets and see level variations, as well as the dynamic of the oceans.
The terrestrial gravity anomalies can help understanding the internal structure of some regions.
