Location :
In Burguillos del Cerro, Extremadura. In the Jerez de los Caballeros direction, a few hundreds meters from the village.

Geological context :
Mineralized skarn, at the contact between Cambrian limestones and the batholite of Burguillos del Cerro.
Works :
Deposit exploited for the iron until the 70s.
One principal 150 m gallery and two secondaries ones.
Cleanings are on three levels. The exploited ore was magnetite, whereas the vonsenite (very rich in iron too) was rejected due to non-existant treatment known.

Mineralization :
Frequent minerals : magnetite, hornblende (a few centimeters long), actinolite, andradite garnet (var. melanite), vonsenite (rare iron borate in layers), löllingite (between the vonsenite layers), pyrite, calcite, epidote.
